hong kong day #2 kawloon

day 2 in hong kong.

sneaker hunting all day today until midnight. here in hong kong, stores stay open late. copped about 40 pairs today.
all price for shoes were a little bid higher than i expected but you know this is hong kong china, you've gotta negotiate price all the time. even authorized nike town/shops can give you 10-20% deal. (i mean if i could speak chinese, it could help me more)

shoes and antique watches, these 2 are what i wanna see in hong kong. today i am gonna concentrate on watches.

p.s. "BNE" is everywhere.. this guy is nuts.

香港２日目。
朝１１時から夜中までスニーカー探しに明け暮れる。以外と商品の値段が高いので驚く。
しかし香港といえどさすが中国。何でも値段は交渉すれば下がるもの。
それがたとえ、正規のナイキショップであっても１０、２０％は下がってくる。

スニーカーはほぼそろったので今日からはお隣、香港等をすこし見学してこようと思う。

since feb 9th..

i haven't updated this blog for almost 50 days.. partially because..

my company and me personally got audited by japanese IRS for no reason. they checked all my books since 2004 to 2007.
at the same time tokyo custom people started investigating all my importing records.

it does not seem the auditing routine won't stop for a while in 2008.

but things are kinda slowing down so i am gonna leave this country for a while from tomorrow.

will updated more often from now on. stay tuned.

check my first just built up fixed bike. "brooklyn machine works gangsta"... need more practice for riding though.

ブログアップデート再開です。気づいたら一ヶ月以上もほったらかしでした。

実は昨年末から国税の調査が入り、それどころではなかった。しかもそれが終わったと思いきや今度は東京税関の調査。

調査ばっかりの２００８年のスタートです。

やっと一段落つきそうなので明日らちょっとワープしてきます。

ネタといったネタもないので先日やっと完成したbrooklyn machine worksの自転車の写真だけでもアップデートです。

明日はHKGからアップしたいと思います。

finale of 1 (and only) love nike harajyuku

yesterday 2008.2.8 was the last day of nike1love studio. a year went by really really quick.
learned a lot of tokyo fashion politics from these guys.

thank you for the HUGE support iwai-kun and ichikawa-kun. my tokyo life could not be better without you guys.

昨年自分が原宿に来てから毎日のようにお世話になったNIKE 1 LOVE STUDIOが昨日フィナーレを迎えました。仕事終わりに最後の挨拶をと行くとみんなで片付けしていました。

市川君、岩井君にはいろいろとお世話になりました。これからも末永くおつきあいしましょう。さみしくなるな〜。

stuck in chicago

starting a taxi strike in paris, this trip has some dramas.. now i am in stuck in chicago. the snow storm hit by the time i landed chicago o'hare. i don't think japanese pilots are trained to land in this kinda condition.
missed a connection to LAX and other later flights were canceled. as an alternative i am flying to narita direct from here next day.

i am staying at this suburban hotel called chicago west. i guess this is not a bad finale.

royce and ricky, sorry again. i was looking forward to seeing you guys in la but lets take a rain check for next time.

タクシーのストから始まり、最後の落ちはシカゴでの大雪。ほんと、良く飛行機到着したなってくらい降ってた。。ロサンゼルスへのコネクションを逃し、次便を待つもキャンセル続き。
翌日の成田直行便でシカゴから日本に帰る事になりました。リッキーとロイスに会う事を楽しみにしてたけど次回に持ち越しです。

ロサンゼルスに到着する見込みで薄着で飛行機にのったのが大間違い。シカゴ、極寒です。

still in paris

originally i was gonna leave paris two days ago.. yesterday i decided to extend my trip because i was too tired for long flight to PARIS-CHICAGO-LA-TOKYO. i was all ready to go back this morning but all the taxi drivers in paris went on strike..
there is no way to get to airport by train with 2 of my suit cases so i decided to spend another night in paris.

its raining in paris today. another crazy day with fred is coming.

最初の旅程では２日前に日本に帰国する予定が、昨日は体調不良を理由に、今日はホテルを出たとたん、町がタクシーで埋め尽くされ大渋滞。どうやら今朝から一斉にパリのタクシー運転手ストライキだとのこと。倍払うから空港までつれてってとオファーするもぜんぜん駄目。パリの地下鉄（エスカレーターなし）をでかい旅行鞄２つもって空港まで急ぐ気力なし、よってもう一晩パリにいる事にします。

paris

arrived at paris very early this morning. my friend booked this hotel for me.
in his email he said he got me a "hostel" so i assumed its gonna be a cheap hotel.

but it turned out very high end hotel.. i do not even know how much they are charging a night.
oh well, its gonna be my "off" day(s) in paris. let me chill out before paris' god father "Zied" aka Fred comes back.

its cool that there is a lot of solde going on in paris right now. hope to cop some more kicks out here.

last day in new york. thank you all.

last whole day in new york this trip. it was such a short visit but i re-appreciate everyone i know in this city.
brother hayato my man, sister in law naomi, business partner d, kin, chris, carlos and other cats in flight club.
i will see you guy a month or 2.

quick visit to brooklyn machine works office for the first time.

joe was giving me a little tour of his office and factory. all frames are hand made by him and his crews.
very very professional. i am so glad i actually could see the whole thing in person. it was awesome experience...

cannot wait for finishing mine.
